Strawberry Rasam
Strawberry rasam, a tangy and also a light sweet rasam which is my favourite. This can also be served as a tasty soup. This is quite a different and also an interesting rasam.

  • Strawberry – 10nos
  • Toor dal 1/4cup
  • Tamarind water 1/4cup
  • Tomato 2
  • Jeera and pepper – 1tsp
  • Asafeotida – 1/4tsp
  • Rasam powder – 1/2tsp
  • Ghee 1tsp
  • Mustard – 1tsp
  • Curry and coriander leaves – 1string
  • Salt(as per taste) –
  1. In pan add boiled dal and tamarind water
  2. Now grind both tomato and strawberry, mix with dal
  3. Now add crushed jeera, pepper and chopped strawberry
  4. Now add rasam powder, mix well and add asafeotida. bring to boil for 10 minutes
  5. Now temper with ghee and add mustard and add to mixture
  6. Now its ready to serve with rasam
