  • 6 to 8 chicken thighs skin removed – 1 1/2pounds
  • Plain low(1 container) –
  • Cumin(ground)(Jeerakam) – 1tbsp
  • Black pepper(coarsely ground) – 2tsp
  • Cinnamom(ground)(Karugapatta) – 1tsp
  • Cloves(ground)(Grambu) – 1/2tsp
  • Salt 1/2tsp
  • Paprika – 2tsp
  1. Slash chicken thighs in several places with a small knife and place in a shallow baking dish and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, combine yoghurt, cumin, pepper, cinnamon, cloves and salt.
  3. Pour the above mixture over chicken, turn to coat well and cover.
  4. Chill for 2 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.
  5. Preheat broiler.
  6. Place chicken thighs on broiler rack or foil lined jelly-roll pan.
  7. Broil 5 to 6 inches from heat, turning occasionally, 25 minutes or until chicken is tender.
  8. Place on a serving platter and sprinkle paprika.
