  • Sugar - 3 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder(A pinch, Elakka podi) -

Instructions
  1. For preparing unnakai, steam the banana`s till soft with the skin.
  2. When it is slightly cool, peel the skin out and mash it with your hands. Remove the center black portion.
  3. In a pan heat ghee and sautT coconut slightly.
  4. Add sugar and mix well. Remove it from the flame and sprinkle cardamom powder. Keep it aside.
  5. Make small balls out of mashed banana`s and keep it aside.
  6. Grease your hands with a little oil.
  7. Place a ball of banana mixture in your palms and with your fingers flatten it.
  8. Fill in the coconut mixture in between, close and roll in oval long shape. Keep it aside.
  9. Repeat the process with the remaining banana mixture.
  10. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry this unnakai`s on medium heat till brown in colour.
  11. Unnakai is ready. Serve hot with hot tea.
