Vegetable Upma (Cracked wheat/Rava upma)

Ingredients
  • Semolina(Rava) – 1cup
  • Onion 1small
  • Small onions(Kunjulli) – 10nos
  • Garlic pod – 1no
  • Ginger(A small piece of 1 to 2 inches length) –
  • Salt 1tsp
  • Bengal gram(Kadala parippu) – 1tsp
  • Black gram(Uzhunnu parippu) – 1tsp
  • Cashew nuts – 8nos
  • Oil 1/8cup
  • Beans – 3nos
  • Potato 1/2of
  • Grean Peas – 10nos
  • Cauliflower florets – 5nos
  • Carrot 1nos
  • Water 1cup
Instructions
  1. Chop onion, garlic and ginger into small pieces.
  2. Chop the remaining vegetables into cube size and boil them.
  3. Heat oil on a pan.
  4. When they pop, add Bengal gram and black gram.
  5. When they turn golden brown, add onion, ginger and garlic.
  6. When the onion turns golden brown, add the semolina.
  7. Fry until you get the aroma of shredded wheat.
  8. Add salt, hot water and cooked vegetables.
  9. Stir Vegetable Upma continuously for 5 minutes and cover with lid and turn off the stove.
  10. Let Vegetable Upma cool on the remaining heat.
  11. :- Vegetable Upma is ready.
  12. :- Vegetable Upma is Ready to serve with chutney.
