  • Potatoes(peeled, boiled and smashed) - 2 nos
  • Spring onions(finely chopped) - 4 nos
  • Green chillies(finely chopped) - 4 nos
  • Ginger(finely chopped) - 1 tbsp

  • Breadcrumbs(As reqd) -
  • Black Pepper Powder(A pinch) -
  • Coriander leaves(finely chopped) - 4 springs
  • Mint springs(finely chopped) - 1 spring

Instructions
  1. For preparing west indian fish cutlets, place the fish fillets in a lightly greased steamer and steam gently until cooked. Remove from the steamer and allow it to cool.
  2. Crumble the steamed fish fillets into a large bowl, using a fork.
  3. Mix in the mashed potatoes, spring onions, salt, pepper powder, green chillies, ginger, coriander leaves, mint leaves and one egg.
  4. Shape into cutlet shape and dip the cutlets in the remaining egg.
  5. Then coat it in breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the cutlets till it becomes brown on both the sides.
  7. West indian fish cutlets are ready. Serve hot with ketchup.
