Instructions
  1. For preparing wheat bar dates cake, cook the dates with lemon juice, rum, water and honey in a pan on low flame till the dates become soft and the liquid evaporates.
  2. Allow it to cool and mash it. Keep it aside.
  3. In a bowl mix in wheat flour, brown sugar and butter. Rub it well till it becomes crumby.
  4. Take a baking tin and press half of the wheat mixture into the tin.
  5. On top of it put the dates mixture.
  6. Then on top of the dates mixture, spread the remaining wheat mixture.
  7. Bake it in the oven till it becomes brown at 180 degrees celsius(350 degrees F).
  8. Once done, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool.
  9. Wheat bar dates cake is ready. Cut it into slices and serve for Christmas parties.
