  • Yellow lentils(cooked in salt water) - 1/2 cup
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • Coconut(grated) - 1/2 cup
  • Chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Split Bengal gram(Uzhunnu parippu) - 1/2 tsp
  • Dry red chillies(broken) - 3 nos
  • Curry leaves - 2 springs
  • Water(As reqd) -

Instructions
  1. For preparing yummy pumpkin curry, grind coconut and garlic to a fine paste with a little water. Keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a vessel and splutter mustard seeds.
  3. Add in split bengal gram, dry red chillies and curry leaves.
  4. Toss in the cooked lentils and the cooked pumpkin. Mix it well.
  5. Sprinkle in chilly powder and turmeric powder. Mix it well.
  6. Pour in the coconut paste with a little water. Allow it to cook in low flame for 10 minutes with a closed lid.
  7. Yummy pumpkin curry is ready. Serve hot with chappathi, dosa, etc.
