  1. Put saffron in a little warm milk and keep aside (if using).
  2. Fry the rice in ghee/oil.
  3. Cover the rice completely with milk and water.
  4. :- For about 1 cup of milk, add 1/2 cup of water.
  5. Add all the remaining ingredients.
  6. Cover and cook on a low flame for 15 – 20 minutes.
  7. When all the water is absorbed, remove from heat.
  8. Garnish with cashews and raisins.
