Soak chick pea over night.
Cook chana by adding carrot, salt and water as required. Take 2 tbsp cooked chana from this and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan and add coconut oil, cardamom, cinnamon and cloves.
Add crushed ginger garlic.
After few seconds, add sliced onion and saute until light brown in colour.
After that, add coriander powder, turmeric powder and saute for one minute on low to medium flame.
Now add chopped tomato, green chilly and curry leaves. Add 2 tbsp water, cover and cook for few minutes.
Next, add previously cooked chana.
Bring the curry to boil.
We have to make a paste out of the previously kept aside 2 tbsp cooked chana. This paste has to be added to the gravy.
Add it into the curry and combine well. Bring to a boil.
Pour some coconut milk and mix well.
Finally add some pepper powder, garam masala powder and mix well.
When it starts to boil, add chopped coriander leaves and remove it from the flame.
Tasty Authentic Chana Masala is ready now.
