  • 1 Cup Onion Chopped
  • 3 Tbsp Coriander chopped
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp Soya sauce
  • 1 Cup Maida
  • Salt as required
  • Water as required.
  • 1 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  • Cook the beef by adding 1 tsp pepper powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and salt as required.
  • Take a bowl and add cooked and shredded beef.
  • Add chopped onion.
  • Add chopped coriander leaves and pepper powder.
  • Add soya sauce and salt as required.
  • Pour the flour, salt and oil into a mixing bowl and begin kneading and forming a dough. It will be quite dry at first but eventually form into a nice, soft dough. Continue kneading for about 10 minutes until you have a soft, non sticky dough. Allow to rest, cover with a damp cloth for about an hour. Take a small portion of dough. Flatten and roll out into a thin round shape and cut it with the help of a cookie cutter to get a perfect shape, it is optional.
  • Place a tablespoon of filling on top of it and fold all the sides into center portion like shown in the figure.
  • Stem the momos for about 5-6 minutes. They should not be touching when steaming.
  • Enjoy with soy sauce or another sauce. Hot sauce is also good with these.
