Beef Pockets | Ifthar Snack

Beef Pockets are a delicious and crispy snack, perfect for Iftar during Ramadan or as an evening treat.

Ingredients
  

  • 150 g Beef
  • 1/2 Tsp Pepper powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 Nos. Onion
  • 2 Nos. Green chilly
  • 1 Tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • Coriander leaves Chopped
  • 1/4 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Red chilly powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Pepper powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1 Tbsp Oil
  • Salt as reqd

Instructions
 

  • Pressure cook the beef by adding pepper powder, turmeric powder and salt as required.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add sliced onion, chopped green chilly and crushed ginger garlic.
  • Sauté until the onion turns soft.
  • Add all masala powders. Sauté for one minute on medium flame to get rid of the raw smell of the masala powders.
  • Add cooked and shredded beef and combine well.
  • Take a bowl and add maida, salt and water as required to make a smooth batter.
  • Another bowl whisk one egg with 1/4 tsp pepper powder and with a little salt. This is as egg wash for the beef pockets.
  • Pour half portion of egg mixture into maida batter and combine well.
  • Heat a non-stick pan and pour a small ladle of batter in the center of the hot pan and spread it to form a circle. Keep the flame low. Place the beef filling on its center.
  • Fold four sides to make a box like shown in the image.
  • Egg wash both sides of beef pockets and cook both sides until light brown in color.
  • Super tasty Beef Pockets are ready now.
