Besan Chilla | Besan Cheela

Besan Chilla, also known as Besan Cheela, is a popular North Indian savory pancake made from gram flour (besan).

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Gram flour Besan
  • 1 Onion Finely Chopped
  • 2 tsp Coriander leaves Chopped
  • 4 nos. Green chillies Chopped
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • In a vessel combine gram flour and green chilies. Add 1/2 cup water and whisk to make a smooth batter.
  • Add chopped onions, coriander leaves, salt and whisk continuously to avoid any lumps.
  • Heat the pan, add 1 spoonful batter in the center of the pan and spread it around by gently swirling the pan. Cook until it begins to set.
  • Carefully flip the chilla and cook the other side.
  • Now tasty Besan Chilla is ready to serve.
