- Chillies As reqd
- 2 Cups Besan Kadalamavu
- A Pinch Baking soda
- 3/4 Tsp. Asafoetida(Kayam)
- 1 Tsp. Chilly Powder
- 1/4 Tsp. Ajwain
- Water As reqd
- Tamarind Paste As reqd
Take 2 Cups besan in a bowl.
Add a pinch of baking soda and little salt.
Add 3/4 Tsp. Asafoetida.
Add 1 Tsp. Chilly powder.
Add 1/4 Tsp. Ajwain
Add water little by little and prepare a dosa batter consistency. Keep batter aside.
Take the chillies in a plate. Cut and deseed. You can also cut in half. Note: To reduce chilli spiciness, immerse in lime water for 15 minutes.
Apply tamarind paste on the inside of the chillies.
Heat a pan in medium heat and add required oil.
Coat the chillies in the thick batter and fry in oil. After 1 minute, flip the chillies. Keep flipping.
Remove the fried chillies or pakodas from oil. Relish tasty Chilly Pakoras with hot chai.
