Creamy Chicken Curry

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Chicken
  • 4 Nos. Onion
  • 2 Tsp Ginger and garlic crushed
  • 2 Tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 Tsp Red chilly powder
  • 1 Tsp Pepper powder
  • 1 Tsp Chicken masala
  • 2 Nos. Tomato Chopped
  • 3 Nos. Green chilly Chopped
  • 1/4 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh cream
  • Curry leaves
  • 3 Tbsp Oil
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add sliced onion.
  • When the onion starts to turn pink, add crushed ginger and garlic. Sauté for few seconds.
  • Then add all masala powders: coriander powder, chilly powder, pepper powder and chicken masala. Sauté for one minute to rid of the raw smell of the masala.
  • Now add chopped tomato and green chilly.
  • When the tomatoes are soft, add cleaned chicken, turmeric powder and salt as required.
  • Mix well. Pressure cook for 2 whistles or until done.
  • When the pressure releases, open the lid and add the cream.
  • Combine well, add curry leaves and coriander leaves and cook for 1 to 2 minutes and remove from flame.
  • Serve along with chapati, ghee rice etc..
