Egg Onion Pakoda | Mutta Ulli Bajji With Video

Egg Onion Pakoda, also known as Mutta Ulli Bajji in South India, is a scrumptious and savory snack that is perfect for tea-time or as an appetizer at gatherings.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Eggs Hard boiled
  • 2 nos. Onion Sliced thin
  • 3 nos. Green chilly Chopped
  • 1 cup Maida
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 3/4 tsp Chilly powder
  • Garam masala A pinch
  • Coriander leaves Few
  • Curry leaves Few
  • Oil For frying
  • Salt as reqd
  • Water As required

Instructions
 

  • Peel and cut the eggs into 4 pieces.

  • Take a vessel and add chopped onion, green chilly, curry leaves, coriander leaves, chilly powder, turmeric powder and required salt.

  • Combine the onion mixture with your hand.
  • Add maida into the onion mixture.

  • Mix well and combine by adding little water to get a thick batter. Keep this aside.

  • Take a wide thick bottomed pan and add sufficient oil. Heat the oil.

  • Dip each egg piece in the batter and cover the egg completely.

  • Drop the thick batter coated egg into hot boiling oil. Deep fry the Egg Onion Pakodas till golden brown in colour. Flip over and fry the other side too.

  • Strain and remove pakodas from oil. Crispy and tasty Egg Onion Pakodas are ready to eat.
