Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Fish King fish or Butter fish or Avoli
  • 2 nos Onions sliced, medium
  • 6 nos Green chillies slit
  • 2 inch Ginger chopped
  • 4 nos Garlic cloves chopped
  • 2 tsp Vinegar
  • 10 - Curry leaves
  • 1 1/2 cups Thin coocnut milk
  • 3/4 cup Thick coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Corriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder Jeerakam
  • Salt As reqd
  • 3 tbsp Oil

Instructions
 

  • For preparing Fish Mappas, make a paste of chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder in 4 tsp of water.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Saute onions, chilli, garlic, ginger and curry leaves together.
  • When done, add the masala paste and stir.
  • Add 1 1/2 cups of thin coconut milk, salt and vinegar.
  • Cover and boil.
  • Add fish and after its cooked and the gravy has thickened, add 3/4 cup thick coconut milk.
  • Simmer for 3 mins and remove from flame.
  • :- Serve Fish Mappas hot with rice.
