Water
Fried onions, raisins and cashew nuts for garnishing
Coriander leaves
Instructions
Soak rice in water for 30 minutes. Drain and keep it aside.
In a deep pan, heat ghee.
Add the whole spices and saute for a few seconds.
Add chopped onion and carrot and saute for some time.
Add 6 cups of water.
When the water boils, add rice and salt.
Cover and cook till the water is fully absorbed and the rice is cooked.
Transfer the contents to a serving platter.
Garnish with fried onions, raisins, cashew nuts and coriander leaves.
