Green Peas Curry Easy

Frozen green peas cooked in ground coconut paste and other ingredients

Ingredients
  

  • 1 packet Grean peas frozen
  • 2 pieces Cinnamon Karugapatta
  • Cloves Few, Grambu
  • 5 to Garlic pods
  • 1 no Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • 1 no Green chilly
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Coconut oil As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan and fry cinnamon and cloves. Add half of the onion and saute for sometime.
  • Add grated coconut to this and fry till the coconut turns golden brown in color.
  • Cool it and grind into a smooth paste adding green chilly. Keep the coconut mixture aside.
  • Cook green peas adding some water, turmeric and required salt.
  • Stir in the previously ground coconut mixture and bring to a boil.
  • Fry the rest of the onions separately and add it into the curry. Tasty peas curry is ready.
  • :-If you are using dry green peas don't forget to soak overnight
