Kaada Roast | Quail Roast

Ingredients
  

  • 3 nos. Quail Cut into 2, Kaada
  • 2 nos. Onion Chopped
  • 10 nos. Shallots Kunjulli
  • 1 small Ginger
  • 5 cloves Garlic
  • 8 nos Pepper corns
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds Perumjeerakam
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp Chilly powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 tsp Pepper powder

Instructions
 

  • For preparing quail/kaada roast, rub salt and pepper powder in quail.
  • Slightly fry it in oil and keep aside.
  • Crush shallots, pepper corns, ginger, garlic, cumin and fennel seeds. Just give a pulse.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add onion and fry it. Add crushed shallot mixture and green chilies.
  • Fry well. Add coriander powder, chilly powder and turmeric. Add salt and fry it.
  • Add the fried quail and roast well.
  • Add coriander leaves and tomato on top.
  • Cover and cook.
  • Make it a semi roast.
  • Quail/Kaada roast is ready.
