Instructions
Cook red gram till half done.
Add vegetables, rice and cook till well done.
Fry remaining ingredients with a little oil and grind with coconut to coarse paste (not too fine).
Mix this to the cooked rice and dhal along with tamarind pulp and jaggery.
Add salt to taste.
Stir well and blend till it boils once or twice.
Garnish with seasoned mustard with curry leaves and 2 - 3 red chillies.
:- Server hot with ghee and appalam (papad).
