For preparing the dish, first wash and drain the beef pieces.
Take all the ingredients under heading: "For Preparing Beef Masala" and dry roast the ingredients in a pan. Cool the ingredients and grind it. Take 3 Tsp of the prepared Masala for the dish.
Next, place the drained beef in a pressure cooker.
Add all the ingredients for marination except onion and beef masala: turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder, chopped green chillies, crushed ginger, garlic and required salt. Mix well.
Keep the beef marinated for about 10 minutes.
Add 1/4 cup water and pressure cook for about 20 minutes after the first whistle.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a kadai and add onions and curry leaves.
Add 3 Tsp prepared masala beef masala and saute till the onions start to brown.
Stir in the cooked beef mixture to the pan, and saute on medium heat for about 10 minutes. Take care so that the masala does not stick to the bottom of the pan. Oil should float on the surface of the curry dish.
