Matar Mushroom

Matar mushroom curry is a thick gravy cooked with green peas and mushrooms . It is prepared in a north indian style in a easy way just right to serve with rotis. Matar mushroom is a spicy onion tomato based creamy gravydone with the richness of cashew and fresh cream. i made it with dried peas but you also make it with fresh green peas.

Ingredients
  

  • green peas dried 1 cup(soaked for 2 hr)
  • mushroom 11/2 cup
  • jeera 1 sp
  • ginger garlic paste 1 sp
  • onions 1 cup sliced
  • tomatoes chopped 1 cup
  • salt to taste
  • garam masala 1/2 sp
  • cashew powder 1 sp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 sp
  • red chilli powder 2 sp
  • fresh cream 2 sp
  • kasturi methi 1 sp (optional)

Instructions
 

  • heat oil add jeer and ginger garlic paste
  • add onions and cook till soft
  • add tomatoes to it turn soft
  • add salt cashew powder, garam masala,turmeric powder,redchilli powder,and water
  • add mushrooms
  • add cooked peas
  • simmer till oil oozes out and add fresh cream and kasturi methi and serve
