Soak the kabuli chana for 6 hours. Boil and grind half of the chana and keep it aside.
Heat oil in a kadai. Splutter mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
Add chopped onion and saute till it turns golden in colour.
Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Mix well.
Add chopped tomato and saute.
Pour some water. Cover and cook for 1 minute.
Add garam masala and asafoetida. Stir well.
Add half grinded kabuli chana. Mix well.
Add the cooked kabuli chana, lime juice and coriander leaves. Mix well for a few seconds.
:- A little gravy is necessary.
Transfer the contents to a serving tray.
Spread chopped onion over the curry. Add chivda [mixture], coriander leaves and fried groundnuts.
