Mulappicha Payar Cheera Thoran

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Spinach
  • 1 cup Mulappicha payar
  • 1 cup Grated coconut
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Green chilly
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a kadai add mustard seeds. When it splutters, add red chilly. Saute for a minute.
  • Add chopped onion and saute. Add chopped and washed cheera to this and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Grind coconut, cumin seeds. turmeric powder and chilli powder in a mixer to a coarse mixture.
  • Add this ground mix to cheera mix and saute for 3 minutes. Add mulappicha payar and mix well.
  • Cover with a lid in low flame for 4 minutes until cheera is fully cooked.
  • Now Mulappicha payar cheera thoran is ready.
