Salt
Instructions
Heat oil in a kadai add mustard seeds. When it splutters, add red chilly. Saute for a minute.
Add chopped onion and saute. Add chopped and washed cheera to this and saute for 2 minutes.
Grind coconut, cumin seeds. turmeric powder and chilli powder in a mixer to a coarse mixture.
Add this ground mix to cheera mix and saute for 3 minutes. Add mulappicha payar and mix well.
Cover with a lid in low flame for 4 minutes until cheera is fully cooked.
Now Mulappicha payar cheera thoran is ready.
