North Indian Gajar Ka Halwa

A North Indian sweet dish made of Carrots

Ingredients
  

  • 4 nos Carrots medium sized
  • 1 tsp Powdered cardamom Elaichi
  • 1/4 milkmaid Condensed Milk
  • 2 Cups Whole Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • Cashewnuts and Pista for garnish, optional

Instructions
 

  • Grate the carrots.
  • Heat the pan and put the 2 tablespoons of ghee into it.
  • Add the carrots and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add the condensed milk and keep stirring till the milk blends with the carrots.
  • Add the whole milk and keep stirring.
  • Add the sugar and the elaichi.
  • Keep stirring till the desired consistency is attained.
  • Garnish with Cashewnuts and Elaichi.
  • Tip:- Keep stirring in 8 shaped manner when adding milk.
  • :- This may be eaten cold or warm. May be also eaten along with Vanilla/Strawberry icecream.
