Water may be needed, add small splashes
Oil for frying

Instructions
Add thinly sliced onion and potato in a wide bowl.
Add all the spices and salt as required.
Add besan and rice flour.
Add oil and egg.
Mix well adding more besan or water as required. Consistency should be such that the batter can be dropped into spoonful in the hot oil.
Heat oil in a wok or kadai. Drop spoonful of the batter in the hot oil, and fry till golden brown in color on both sides.
Serve along with mint chutney.
