Prawn-Beans Thoran
Kerala style prawns(chemmeen) & french beans thoran

- 300 gm Small prawns
- 200 gm French beans cut into 1 inch length pieces
- 1 no Onion chopped fine, large
- 2 cm Ginger chopped
- 2 nos Garlic pods crushed
- 3 nos Green chillies finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Grated coconut
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp[optional] Cumin powder Jeerakam
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Salt As reqd
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- Curry leaves A few
Heat oil in pan.
Add mustard seeds and when they splutter, add curry leaves.
Add onion, ginger and garlic and saute, till it starts to change colour.
Add the prawns and green chillies. Fry for sometime.
Add beans and fry further.
Add 2 tbsp of water and cover the pan and cook.
Handmix grated coconut with coriander powder, cumin powder and a little water(to soften).
Add this to the pan.
Cover and cook for some more time. Mix well.
