Prawn Biriyani | Shrimp Biriyani

Prawn Biriyani is a luxurious and flavorful dish that combines succulent prawns with aromatic basmati rice and a medley of rich spices.

Ingredients
  

Preparation Of Rice:

  • 3 Cups Basmati rice
  • 1 No. Carrot
  • 2 Nos. Green chillies
  • 1 Tsp Pepper corns
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 Cup Tomato puree
  • 3 Nos. Cloves Grambu
  • 1 Small Cinnamon stick Karugapatta
  • 2 Nos. Cardamom Elakka
  • Salt As reqd
  • 6 Cups Water
  • 2 Tbsp Ghee

For Preparation Of Masala:

  • 1/2 Kg Prawns
  • 1 Tbsp Crushed Ginger Garlic
  • 2 Tbsp Crushed Green Chilly
  • 4 Nos. Onion(Large) Chopped
  • 3 Nos. Tomato Chopped
  • 1 Tsp Garam Masala powder
  • 1 Tsp Pepper powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 Tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing rice, take all the ingredients for rice and keep it aside.
  • Heat ghee in a bottom thick vessel, add cardamom, cinnamon stick, clove and green chilly. Saute for a minute.
  • Add tomato puree, turmeric powder and pepper corns.
  • Pour water into it and let it boil. When it starts to boil, add rice.
  • Cook the rice until fully done.
  • For preparing prawn masala,heat oil in a vessel and saute onion until it becomes soft and light brown in colour. Add chopped tomato, green chilly, ginger garlic paste and saute for 5 minutes.
  • Add prawns, garam masala, pepper powder, chilly powder and cook till the raw smell goes away.
  • Serve the Prawn Biriyani with fresh veggie salad.
