Wash and clean the prawns. Mix together 1 tsp red chilly powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and salt as required.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the prawns on medium flame.
Turn the other side and fry.
Take a grinder and add shallots, pepper corns, garlic, ginger, dried red chilly and crush it.
Add the crushed mixture and some curry leaves in the same pan that we have fried the prawns.
Saute for one minute, add little oil if needed.
Add sliced onion and saute until the onion turn transparent or light brown in coclor.
Now add coriander powder, turmeric powder and garam masala powder. Saute for few seconds.
Add chopped tomato and saute until soft.
Add salt and combine well.
Now add the fried prawns .
Saute for 1 minute.
Pour the thick coconut milk and combine well. Cook until the gravy thickens.
Finally add some chopped coriander leaves and remove from the flame.
Serve along with chapati parotta etc..
