Instructions
Peel and cut pumpkin into small pieces.
In a pan add oil and roast urad dal and red chilli to a golden brown color. Keep aside to cool.
In same pan add required oil and cook pumpkin pieces till soft. Allow to cool.
Take a mixer and add grated coconut, red chilli and asafoetida. Grind well.
Next, add pumpkin pieces, tamarind and salt. Blend smoothly.
Next add roasted urad dal and pulse to a coarse texture. Next, season the Pumpkin Thogayal with mustard seeds.
Now the dish is ready. Serve with hot rice or dosa or idly.
