Radish Paratha

Radish Paratha – a stuffed parantha recipe from land of Punjab. It is nothing but a whole bread Indian bread stuffed with sautéed, spiced mooli/radish stuffing.It is a healthy breakfast that can be taken with raita.

Ingredients
  

  • For dough
  • 1 cup Wheat flour
  • Salt as needed
  • 3 tsp Oil
  • For stuffing
  • 1 big Radish
  • 1/2 cup Coriander leaves can add less also, chopped
  • 1 Onion
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Garam

Instructions
 

  • • For dough: Mix wheat flour add salt and oil, well.• Then prepare a soft dough by adding warm water to the flour (it should not be stiff but soft...) and keep aside.
  • For stuffing:• Soak the radish for few min in salt water.
  • Grate the radish, chop onions and Coriander leaves.
  • In a pan heat butter add cumin seed and onion and stir it, add radish cook till raw smell goes.
  • Add all powders and salt and sugar, cook for few mins add Coriander leaves. And keep it aside let to cool.
  • Take the prepared dough and roll into ball and make small size roll add stuffing and make ball again roll like chapatti or roti.
  • cook it both sides on a hot tawa over medium flame. Press gently while cooking to get it done evenly browned.
  • Serve hot with any kind of raitha (boondi raita) or simply with pickle!
