Soya Chunks Masala (Vegetarian Meat)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Soya chunks

Grind to coarse paste:-

  • 1/2 of Coconut
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • Garlic a clove
  • 2 nos Onion
  • 2 nos Tomato
  • 1 small Ginger finely chopped
  • 2 nos Green chilly finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Chicken masala
  • Oil as reqd
  • Salt as reqd
  • 1/4 cup Coconut pieces cut in to small pieces

Instructions
 

  • Soak soya chunks in hot water for 20 minutes.
  • Squeeze out the excess water and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry Onion (small pieces)till colours get brown.
  • Add red chilly powder, coriander powder, curry leaves and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add the ingredients along with tamarind to a blender &grind to a fine paste and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in another pan and add coconut and fry till brown.
  • Add cumin, garlic and fry for 2 minutes & grind the ingredients to a coarse paste.
  • Heat oil in the pan, add onion (cut length wise)and fry till brown.
  • Add soya chunks and fry for 3 minutes.
  • Now add ginger, green chillies and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add tomato & saute till it blends well.
  • Add the fine paste followed by the coarse paste.
  • Allow this to boil in a low flame.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry coconut pieces till brown and keep it aside.
  • In the same pan add onions(small pieces), saute till brown and then add chicken masala powder.
  • When the curry starts boiling add coconut pieces & onions to this.
  • :- Soya Chunks Masala is ready!!! :- Soya Chunks Masala normally called Vegetarian Meat!!! :- Serve Soya Chunks Masala hot!!!
