Soak soya chunks in hot water for 20 minutes.
Squeeze out the excess water and keep it aside.
Heat oil in a pan and fry Onion (small pieces)till colours get brown.
Add red chilly powder, coriander powder, curry leaves and fry for 2 minutes.
Add the ingredients along with tamarind to a blender &grind to a fine paste and keep it aside.
Heat oil in another pan and add coconut and fry till brown.
Add cumin, garlic and fry for 2 minutes & grind the ingredients to a coarse paste.
Heat oil in the pan, add onion (cut length wise)and fry till brown.
Add soya chunks and fry for 3 minutes.
Now add ginger, green chillies and fry for 2 minutes.
Add tomato & saute till it blends well.
Add the fine paste followed by the coarse paste.
Allow this to boil in a low flame.
Heat oil in a pan and fry coconut pieces till brown and keep it aside.
In the same pan add onions(small pieces), saute till brown and then add chicken masala powder.
When the curry starts boiling add coconut pieces & onions to this.
