Spicy Chicken Chukka

Chicken pieces are marinated in a sweet chilli sauce mixture, deep fried and then cooked in medium flame until done.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Chicken
  • 2 nos Onion chopped
  • Ginger crushed
  • 4 nos Green chillies
  • 2 nos Tomatoes sliced
  • 2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 3 tsp Chilly powder
  • 3 tsp Coriander powder
  • 2 tsp Cumin powder Jeerakam
  • 2 tsp Pepper corns crushed
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 tbsp Sweet chilly sauce
  • Curry leaves Few
  • Oil As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing spicy chicken chukka, first marinate chicken with pepper, salt and sweet chilly sauce.
  • Marinate it for 1 hour.
  • In a pan, pour oil .
  • When hot, add chicken pieces and fry it.
  • When chicken turns color, add onion, ginger-garlic paste and fry it.
  • Add green chillies and fry it.
  • Add garam masala, coriander powder, chilly powder and turmeric.
  • Add salt and cover it with a lid.
  • Fry it for sometime.
  • Sprinkle water and cook it well.
  • When done, and water is fully evaporated, add cumin powder, curry leaves.
  • Make it a dry masala.
  • Spicy chicken chukka is ready.
