Spicy Kerala Fried Chicken
Chicken marinated in spices and fried

- 2 lbs Chicken cut into small pieces
- 2 nos Onion thinly sliced
- 2 sprigs Curry leaves
- 4 nos Green chillies
- Oil for deep frying
For marination:-
- 1/4 cup Onion
- 1 no Egg
- 3 tbsp Ginger
- 3 tbsp Garlic
- 4 nos Green chillies
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- 2 tbsp Lime juice
- 2 tbsp Soya sauce
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp Chilly powder
- 2 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1 no Cinnamon Karugapatta
- 3 nos Cloves Grambu
- 3 nos Cardamom Elakka
- 1 tbsp Fennel seeds Perinjeerakam
- 1/2 tbsp Pepper corns Kurumulaku
- 1/4 cup Cornflour
- 1/4 tsp Ajinomotto optional
- Salt As reqd
Grind all the ingredients for marinade in the food processor until smooth.
Pour this over the chicken pieces and let it marinate overnight or atleast 5 hrs.
Heat up the oil in a pan.
Fry the marinated chicken pieces in it till chicken turns golden brown.
After all the chicken is fried, heat up the same pan with the remaining oil.
Fry the thinly sliced onion, curry leaves and green chillies till crisp.
Mix the chicken with the fried onion and curry leaves.
