Tomato chutney, also known as Thakkali Chutney in Tamil, is a quintessential South Indian condiment that pairs perfectly with idly and dosa.

- 2 nos. Tomato(Medium - Less sour) Chopped
- 4 nos. Dry Red Chillies
- 1 no. Onion(Medium) Chopped
- 1 Handful Coriander leaves Chopped
- 1 Sprig Curry leaves
Take all the required ingredients in a plate.
First chop the vegetables.
Heat 2 tsp coconut oil in a pan.
Add 4 dry red chillies and chopped onion. Saute in medium flame.
When the onion start turning golden brown, add chopped tomato and curry leaves. Saute for few minutes.
When the tomato turns mushy, add required salt and coriander leaves. Stir well.
When tomato is smashed well, turn off the flame.
Transfer the contents to a mixie and grind well without adding water.
Yummy Tomato Chutney is ready.
