Tomato Chutney | Tomato Vorta
Tomato Chutney, known as "Tomato Vorta" in Bengali, is a beloved condiment that adds a burst of flavor to any meal.

- 4 Nos. Tomato Cut in halves
- 1 No. Onion Chopped
- 2 Nos. Green chilly Sliced
- Curry leaves
- 6 Cloves Garlic Sliced
- ¼ Tsp Sugar
- ½ Tsp Chilly powder
- Salt as reqd
- 2 Tbsp Coconut oil
- 1 Tbsp Lemon juice
Rinse ripe tomatoes under running water and cut into two pieces. Then heat oil in a pan and place tomato pieces like shown in the picture.
Add sliced garlic cloves.
Then cover the top and cook in low to medium flame for 7-10 minutes.
Turn off the flame and remove the skin of tomatoes.
Smash it with a smasher.
Now add chopped onion, green chilly and curry leaves.
Then add chilly powder, salt and sugar. Mix well with a spoon.
Finally add lemon juice and combine well.
Serve along with any Indian meal.
