Wash the okra well and cut the edges. Then cut it into two pieces like shown in the figure.
Marinate the okra by adding chilly powder, turmeric powder, salt and little oil.
Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan and fry the both sides of okra.
in the same pan and in the remaining oil, add chopped ginger, curry leaves and shallots.
Saute till it becomes light brown in color.
Then add chopped tomato and green chilly. saute for few minutes to cook the tomato.
Add all masala powders and salt as required. Saute for 30 seconds to get rid off the raw smell.
Sqeeze lemon juice. Mix well.
Run the banana leaf on fire for 2-3 seconds. The leaf would have wilted by now. Now wrap the masala in a banana leaf
and heat oil in a pan and cook the both sides in low flame for 3 minutes.
Serve ot along with rice ,roti etc.
