Vermicelli Custard Falooda | Semiya Custard

Ingredients
  

For custard:

  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 tbsp Custard powder
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Milk for mixing custard powder

For Cooking Vermicelli:

  • 1/2 tsp Ghee
  • 1/2 cup Vermicelli/Semiya
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 3/4 cup Sugar

For setting falooda:

  • 1/4 cup Almonds(chopped)
  • 1/4 cup Black raisins
  • 2 tbsp Chia seeds Soaked in 1/4 cup water for 10 minutes.
  • 1/2 cup Apple chopped
  • 1/2 cup Banana chopped

Instructions
 

  • First, we are going to prepare Custard. Boil milk by adding sugar under footage of 'For preparing Custard'.
  • When milk starts boiling, in a small bowl take 2 tbsp custard powder and ½ cup milk. Mix well making sure there are no lumps. Pour in custard slurry into boiling milk and stir continuously. Cook until the milk thickens and turns creamy. Turn the flame off and cool down.
  • When the custard becomes cooled down, add the soaked Chia seeds into it and keep it in refrigerator.
  • Next, we are going to prepare Vermicelli. Heat ghee in a pan and roast vermicelli/semiya in low flame until the semiya turns golden brown in color.
  • Add milk and ¼ cup sugar and mix well. Boil for 7 minutes or until semiya gets cooked completely.
  • Add raisins and chopped almonds and turn off the flame. Let it cool
  • Now add Vermicelli mixture into previously prepared custard.
  • Finally add some chopped fresh fruits of your choice and refrigerate it for 2-4 hours
  • Serve in bowls and enjoy Vermicelli Custard Falooda.
