Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Chicken cut into pieces
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 lime Lemon juice
  • Coriander leaves A bunch
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 10 nos Garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 6 nos Green chillies
  • 2 nos Onions
  • 2 nos Star anise Thakkolam
  • Oil As reqd
  • For garnishing:
  • 2 nos Onions sliced into rings
  • 2 nos Tomatoes sliced
  • 2 nos Potatoes sliced and fried
  • 2 nos Lemon sliced

Instructions
 

  • For preparing Chicken Cafreal, marinate the chicken pieces with a mixture of salt and lime juice. Keep chicken pieces aside for 15 minutes.
  • Grind the remaining ingredients: coriander leaaves, ginger, garlic, garam masala powder, green chillies, onion and star anise to a fine paste.
  • Apply the masala paste onto the chicken pieces and marinate the chicken for 30 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the marinated chicken pieces.
  • Cover with a lid and fry in low flame until done.
  • Garnish with onion rings, slices of tomatoes, potato slices and lemon wedges.
  • :- Serve Chicken Cafreal hot with rice.
