Step 1

Grease and flour a 7" cake tin.

Step 2

Sift the flour, spice, salt and bicarbonate of soda together.

Step 3

Pour the tea into a saucepan, add the margarine or cooking fat, sugar and dried fruit.

Step 4

Heat until the fat and sugar melt and then boil for 2 - 3 mins.

Step 5

Allow to cool slightly.

Step 6

Pour on to the flour mixture, beat well and spoon into the tin.

Step 7

Bake in the centre of a moderate
oven for 11/2 hours.


if v r using microwave then for how long do i need to bake it. in convection mode????
