  • Butter - 1/2 cup
    Rum/Vanilla essence - As reqd
    Cocoa - 1/2 cup
    Icing sugar - 2 cups
    Warm water - As reqd


Step 1

For preparing fudge icing, cream the butter in a bowl till soft and completely free from lumps.

Step 2

Add in the rum or essence.

Step 3

Sift cocoa and icing sugar together.

Step 4

Slowly put it into the butter mixing it continuously.

Step 5

When it becomes very stiff add in warm water to make a smooth consistency(do not use boiling water).

Step 6

Fudge icing is ready. It could be used to spread on any cake.
