  • For preparing Kajji Kayalu, first sieve maida flour.
  • Melt ghee and pour it into the maida flour and knead well to make a soft dough, by using little water.
  • For the filling, grind the dry coconut to coarse powder. Keep this aside.
  • Grind cashewnuts, ground nuts and khus-khus to a coarse powder. Keep aside.
  • Mix together sugar with the above coconut powder, cashew mixture, cardamom powder and raisins. Keep it aside.
  • Make small lemon size balls of the maida dough and roll it like chapathis and cut into semi circles.
  • Take one part of the semi circle fill it with the mixture. Place the other semi circle on top and close the edges by wetting your fingers.
  • Fry Kajji Kayalu in hot boiling oil to a golden brown color.
  • Delicious Kajji Kayalu is ready. Enjoy the dish in your joyous festivals.
