Step 1

For preparing Muringa Ela Thoran, grind together grated coconut, garlic, cumin seeds, turmeric powder and green chillies in a mixer grinder into a coarse form.

Step 2

Mix well together the above mixture along with the drumstick leaves and salt using your hands.

Step 3

Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.

Step 4

Splutter mustard seeds and rice and saute red dry chillies and curry leaves.

Step 5

Add the leaves mixture and mix well.

Step 6

Cover and cook for 3 mins.

Step 7

Remove the lid and mix well the whole contents.

Step 8

:- In order to avoid the leaves from getting clustered or forming lumps, stir well using a spatula.

Keep it on low flame, till done.

Step 9

Enjoy the Muringa ela Thoran with rice or roti.
