Step 1

Wash and soak rice for 15-20 minutes. Drain rice and keep aside.

Step 2

Mix together milk, cream, sugar and salt.

Step 3

Heat ghee in a heavy pan.

Step 4

Add cumin seeds, cinnamon, bay leaf, cardamoms and cloves and allow them to splutter.

Step 5

Add rice and fry in ghee for 2 minutes.

Step 6

Add milk n cream mixture.

Step 7

Add 1/2 cup water and bring to a boil.

Step 8

When the boil is reached, cover and simmer till cooked. Each grain should be cooked, but should be separate.

Step 9

Mix in drained fruit very gently.

Step 10

Garnish by sprinkling finely broken rose petals.

Step 11

:- Serve hot with curry or raita.


Can u pls tell me,what do u mean by cream?
