Instructions
  1. For preparing beetroot curry, pressure cook the lentils in salt water.
  2. Mean while grind coconut, water and cumin seeds till smooth. Keep it aside.
  3. To the cooked lentils, add in the beetroot, sambar masala, turmeric powder, tomato, green chillies and salt. Allow the beetroot to cook.
  4. Once the beetroot is cooked, pour in the coconut paste and allow it to simmer on low flame. Remove it from the flame.
  5. In a vessel heat oil and splutter mustard seeds.
  6. Toss in the dry red chillies and pour it into the beetroot curry. Mix it.
  7. Beetroot curry is ready.
