  • Carrot(peeled) - 1 kg
  • Milk - 1 1/4 litre
  • Sugar - 2 cups
  • Milkmaid - 1 tin
  • Cardamom powder(Elakka) - 1/2 tsp
  • Ghee - 4 tbsp
  • Cashew nuts(fried in ghee) - 2 tbsp
  • Raisins(fried in ghee) - 1 tbsp

  • Cardamom powder(Elakka) - 1/2 tsp
  • Ghee - 4 tbsp
  • Cashew nuts(fried in ghee) - 2 tbsp
  • Raisins(fried in ghee) - 1 tbsp

Instructions
  1. For preparing carrot payasam, grate 1/4 kg of carrot and sautT it in ghee. Remove and keep it aside.
  2. Finely chop the remaining carrot and cook it in 1 cup of milk. Allow it to cook and blend it into a fine paste.
  3. In another vessel pour in milk and sugar. Allow it to boil, then lower the flame.
  4. Add in the blended carrot and allow it to boil for 1 minute.
  5. Then add in milkmaid, sauted carrot, fried cashew nuts, raisins and cardamom powder. Mix it well, allow it to simmer for 1 minute and remove it from the flame.
  6. Carrot payasam is ready.
