Ingredients
  • Steamed rice 1 cup –
  • Carrot 3 no. –
  • small onion 15 no. –
  • red chili 2 no. –
  • garlic 3 no. –
  • Curry leaves 5 no. –
  • Oil : 4 tsp –
  • Mustard : 1/2 tsp –
  • broken urad dal 1/4 tsp –
  • coconut 1/4 cup –
Instructions
  1. grate the carrot
  2. chop the onion, garlic, red chili, grate the coconut
  3. heat the oil the pan and temper the mustard, broken urad dal, curry leaves and red chilies
  4. add onion and saute it until the onion get golden colour
  5. add grated carrot and mix well
  6. add salt ,turmeric powder and mix well
  7. allow the carrot to get cooked for 10 minutes
  8. add grated coconut and mix well
  9. prepare the steamed rice
  10. add that steamed rice in carrot and mix well
  11. allow to cook for 5 minutes in a low flame
  12. now carrot rice is ready to serve
