Instructions
  1. For preparing easy tomato rice, heat ghee in a vessel, roast the cashew nuts and raisins separately. Remove from the flame and keep it aside.
  2. In the same ghee splutter mustard seeds.
  3. Toss in the cloves and cinnamon. Saute it for 1 minute on low flame.
  4. Saute in the onions till it becomes transparent.
  5. Sprinkle in turmeric powder, chilly powder and salt.
  6. Pour in the tomato paste and sautT it for 2 minutes.
  7. Then pour in the water and allow it to boil.
  8. Once the water boils toss in the basmati rice and allow it to cook on low flame till done.
  9. Lastly, garnish with coriander leaves, fried cashew nuts and raisins.
  10. Easy tomato rice is ready. Serve hot with chicken curry.
