  • Basmati rice(washed and soaked for 10 mins) - 2 cups
  • Eggs(large) - 6 nos
  • Onion(thinly sliced) - 1 no
  • Green chillies(slit) - 10 nos
  • Bay leaf(Karuga/Vazhana ela) - 1 no
  • Cloves(Grambu) - 4 nos
  • Peppercorns - 1/2 tsp
  • Cinnamon(Karugapatta) - 1 inch
  • Ginger Paste - 1 tsp
  • Garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Pulao masala - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Salt(As reqd) -

Instructions
  1. Hard boil and shell 4 of the 6 eggs.
  2. Heat oil in a large vessel.
  3. Add the whole spices.
  4. After a few seconds, add the onion and green chillies along with the ginger-garlic paste.
  5. Fry till light brown.
  6. Now break the two eggs into the pan and scramble.
  7. Add the drained rice to it and fry for a minute.
  8. Season with salt.
  9. Put the boiled eggs into it and pour 4 cups of water.
  10. Cover and cook till the rice is half done.
  11. Stir in the pulao masala and a little bit of lemon juice (optional) and mix gently.
  12. Cover and cook till all the water evaporates and the rice is done.
  13. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  14. :- Serve hot.
