Instructions
  1. For preparing tasty fish molee, marinate the fish fillets with a mixture of turmeric powder, pepper powder, chilly powder, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice and salt. Keep it aside for half an hour.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the marinated fish fillets till light brown. Keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil in another vessel. Add in the cinnamon sticks, cardamom and fennel seeds. SautT it for a minute.
  4. Add the sliced onions and sautT till transparent.
  5. Then add the slit green chillies, salt, curry leaves and ginger-garlic pieces. SautT for few minutes.
  6. Toss in the chopped tomatoes and sautT well.
  7. Put in turmeric, pepper powder, chilly powder and garam masala . SautT it for a minute.
  8. Pour 2 cups of thin coconut milk. Allow the coconut milk to simmer for 5 minutes(do not boil it).
  9. Then add the fried fish and cook covered on low heat for 10-12 minutes till the gravy starts to thicken(do not boil it). 10)Last, pour in the thick coconut milk and allow it to simmer for another 5 minutes.
  10. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  11. Tasty fish molee is ready. Serve hot with bread.
